Hey guys!
I've recently set up my professional website, it's constantly developing so nothing is final but if you like my work on here, please check it out and keep an eye out for my blog!

I am currently working towards my final exhibition at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in North London. It will be a culmination of mine and my peers work and will be exhibited on the week of the 5th-10th May, excluding the bank holiday. If you're interested in theatre work or in the specific strands of Scenic Art, Scenic Construction, Props, Costume and/or Design, it is an open event so please come down to see what we've been working on.
It will be held at the school in Swiss Cottage just over the road from Swiss Cottage Tube Station. You can also find it under Embassy Theatre, Eton Avenue, NW3 3HY.
For my piece I am currently working on a renaissance painting - Samson and Delilah by Rubens.
I chose it because it is rich in colour and I love traditional work! You can see a picture of me working on it in my profile picture. This won't be the only thing in my exhibition.
The renaissance painting will be on the back of this which I did last term as part of a set:
I will also have these skills boards hanging on the piece:

There will be a wood grained floor, a sign piece and maybe a spray effect as I have a new Sata Spray Gun and am hoping to plan a spray project for this or next term before the exhibition.
So that's pretty much it, just wanted to update all of you!
I hope you're all okay!
Much love,
Sarah

Proud, flattered and a little bit daunted.
I'm going through a bit of a lucky phase at the moment in terms of requests. I've never really relied on it as a source of outcome and nor am I going to begin to do so, but all of a sudden I seem to be getting a number of requests. I've been asked about 9 times in the past month, 4 or 5 in the past week. This is so unusual and gives me a lot of confidence in my work. I also totaled up the amount of income I've ever earned through my art work and I surprised even myself.
Along with family or pet drawing/painting requests, I am currently also working on designing a book cover for a book that's going to be published soon, very exciting! And a f
I met Judi Dench yesterday!
Wow! I can't believe it! What a woman.
Yesterday she visited my university as she used to be a student there back in the 50's at Central School of Speech & Drama.
I won a ticket last week in a ballot to go to Judi Dench: In Conversation at our drama school theatre, a 90 minute Q&A with her on stage; kind of like Inside the Actors Studio - very surreal! I was about 5 rows from the front and it was so relaxed and amazing. She's witty and funny and animated, especially for her age. She's even a little naughty! I bet you're not surprised. She talked about her career (she told us about when she was playing a duchess and she was due to appear in
Should I buy Mechanical Pencils?
I've been wondering recently about whether to buy some mechanical pencils because most of the drawings I 'favourite' tend to be drawn by them and they seem to give a really nice smooth effect. I have no idea what the pros and cons of them are or even which thickness/make to go for, so this is just a short blog entry asking any artists out there which Makes you recommend and why? Or if you hate them, feel free to say why too.
And if you could provide a link to buying them, even better!
<3 Thanks!
